Analyze large-scale retail, eCommerce, supply chain, merchandising, and customer data to identify business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Work with structured and unstructured datasets stored in enterprise data platforms and cloud-based environments to support operational decision-making, inventory optimization, customer experience initiatives, and business intelligence reporting. Specific functions owned are Extended Lookback Window reports, automation for Price Movement Analytics reports, and project to determine incremental effect of ads on rollback project, as well as project on ensuring report quality that is sent to the clients. Help with risk associated with implementation. If there are any issues with implementation of said reports, like scaling the report for use for multiple teams, members or cross functional orgs, use technical knowledge to scale it up using cloud tech or internal technical clusters using PySpark. Design and implement logical and physical data models to support analytics, reporting, forecasting, and operational applications. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; Provide detailed ad-analytics and performance analytics based on stakeholder questions and issues and answer them using technical and non-technical skills; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Owns complete end-to-end analytics on supplier related question and field, primarily working in Entertainment, Seasonal, Toys and Wireless categories. Research and assess new statistical techniques, machine learning approaches, cloud-based analytics platforms, artificial intelligence technologies, and data visualization tools for potential business applications. Recommend and implement innovative analytical solutions that improve decision-making capabilities and operational efficiency. Use business knowledge from these categories to provide context on performance and metrics, as well as create KPIs based on the specific businesses to assess performance and maintain stakeholder relationships. Works with leadership/business partners to discuss and understand goals/functional objectives and key business challenges to develop hypotheses around current and future business issues; identifies functional analytics and research objectives and develops tactical research plans. Deliver analytical insights and recommendations for initiatives involving customer experience, omnichannel retailing, merchandising optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement analysis and research, and verify hypothesis by conducting statistical test and analysis like A/B testing. Advises on next steps based on objective insights and research. Presents actionable recommendations to Directors to inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.Skills required: Experience with extracting data out of complex SQL databases. Experience with building fully functional dashboards using Tableau and providing live information. Experience with coding in Python for data manipulation and building automated reports. Experience with analyzing data and providing insights and recommendations using Microsoft Suite. Experience with designing A/B testing and providing incrementality results for marketing campaigns. Experience with leveraging Cloud Computing Platforms like Google Cloud Platform to store and extract data. Experience with understanding business problems and formulating solutions based on technical requirements. Experience with managing stakeholders for campaign measurements and providing insights and analytics based on campaign results. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.Salary Range: $133,952/year to $202,000/year.
